The only thing missing in Taste of Home’s “The Ultimate Ground Beef Cookbook” is dessert.
Indeed, the hardcover cookbook features 450 recipes from home cooks across the country that all feature ground beef as one of the ingredients. Hawaiian Honey Burgers, Chuck Wagon Tortilla Stack, Pizza Meat Loaf Cups, Chili Dogs, Mexican Chip Casserole, Taco Meatball Ring and Unstuffed Pepper Soup are among them.

The best feedback a cook can get may be a table full of empty plates, but it’s nice to get an occasional pat on the back, too. Galveston cook Sharon Marie Fleming recently won national recognition for her cooking when one of her recipes was chosen for the new addition of the “Wal-Mart Family Cookbook,” which showcases recipes shared by Wal-Mart employees.
